Discussion | Committee on oversight duty in Gauteng prisons

JOHANESSBURG – The Portfolio Committee on Correctional Services is conducting oversight visits to several correctional centres in Gauteng this week.
The committee says it has carefully identified centres to visit to ensure proper oversight.

One of those centres is the infamous Johannesburg Correctional Centre, commonly known as Sun City Prison.
Authorities raided the prison in July, in efforts to curb contraband access.
