King gives woman ‘the surprise of her life’ on her birthday

King Charles has given a birthday girl the surprise “of her life” in Scotland.
Alice Ryce was visiting Dumfries House on her 87th birthday, when she bumped into the monarch who was taking a walk around the grounds.
The sweet interaction was captured on camera and showed the birthday girl getting an up-close-and-personal moment with His Majesty, who was looking very jovial as they shared a chat and a laugh.

“Whilst enjoying a visit to the estate, which is open to the public, Alice unexpectedly met His Majesty, who was delighted to share in her special day,” the video caption read.
“The King was in Ayrshire to support the work of The King’s Foundation, headquartered at Dumfries House. Happy birthday, Alice!”
While it’s not uncommon for those celebrating their century to get a birthday message from the King, it’s very rare for any other mere mortals to get an in-person message for the monarch on a random birthday.

The meet and greet took place last week but was only just shared to social media on Tuesday.
Within hours the clip amassed over 30,000 likes with hundreds of comments.
King Charles was wearing a light coloured suit and carrying an outdoor walking stick as he made his way around the grounds, surrounded by minimal staff and security.

The 75-year-old was also seen wearing some trendy plastic rim sunglasses for the sunny outing on the estate.
His Majesty recently returned to work after a summer break up at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, where he also marked the second anniversary of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II’s, passing.
